i’m on hold

too tired for words lately …
I’m even more tired after this weekend than i was before …
To Mc Allen, Texas this time!
We go shopping in the U.S. because clothes, shoes, electronics, etc. are almost 50% cheeper just across the border (Mexico handles very high import taxes). But the most important reason: you can’t find fitting pants here if you are above 1,65 m tall … america is the closest option.
coming back on monday.
I felt miserable all week, wasn’t able to contain myself, couldn’t sleep and i can’t explain why … Today i got rid of all the junk on my computer, cleaned my desk and sorted out paperwork. I studied some more spanish grammar and forced myself to reply to some spanish emails. I went for a head-clearance-walk and now i feel fresh again, ready for a productive weekend.
Still some good things happened this week:
Aaarch … the fifth night in a row already without decent rest … This nightly wandering around the house isn’t good for one’s state of mind.
Ramses and Tomster are quite happy with the company though. They are so alive at night! I would be too i guess, if i slept all day.

It’s 7 o’clock now, the sun is coming up, another day … let’s get started. Pfff …

Damned! Damned! Damned!
Apparently the film got stuck inside my camera and i took pictures, a whole weekend long, over the same part. There was no way i could’ve known because everything felt like it was working just fine …
This leaves me overwhelmed with dissapointment, grieving for my lost pictures of such a wonderful weekend in beautiful Mexico city! These pictures of the city i fell in love with are now only captured in my head.
Well, i guess i’ll have to go back, that’s the good part …
Lesson learned: always pack digital camera too!
I can still show you a few snapshots taken with lomo’s don’t think, just shoot-mentality.
One shot taken inside the airplane (flying is not quite my favourite waste of time, luckily the flight only took an hour). Some of the incredibly charming hotel where we stayed, too bad i can’t show you the uniforms the staff was wearing! And one of the ‘Reforma’, one of the most important streets in D.F.

Well Tim, here we go …
You take as much sprouts as you can eat, wash them, put them into a pot of salted boiling water and wait till they are done. Don’t know exactly how long, just prick them with your fork once and a while … you’ll know when they’re done.
Then pour off the sprouts and rinse them briefly with cold water. And here is the trick: put them in a pan, and fry them with lots of black pepper and a taste of honey!
Good luck!
I think you are the only one who ever tasted ‘my’ sprouts since i only made them once or twice … When i’m back, we’ll do the whole menu once again, ok?
