bad luck in Mexico city
Damned! Damned! Damned!
Apparently the film got stuck inside my camera and i took pictures, a whole weekend long, over the same part. There was no way i could’ve known because everything felt like it was working just fine …
This leaves me overwhelmed with dissapointment, grieving for my lost pictures of such a wonderful weekend in beautiful Mexico city! These pictures of the city i fell in love with are now only captured in my head.
Well, i guess i’ll have to go back, that’s the good part …
Lesson learned: always pack digital camera too!
I can still show you a few snapshots taken with lomo’s don’t think, just shoot-mentality.
One shot taken inside the airplane (flying is not quite my favourite waste of time, luckily the flight only took an hour). Some of the incredibly charming hotel where we stayed, too bad i can’t show you the uniforms the staff was wearing! And one of the ‘Reforma’, one of the most important streets in D.F.

Hoi… toen ik mijn lomo in ‘t begin had heb ik ook talrijke filmkes maar half op kunnen trekken omdat da filmke in de lomo vast kwam te zitten… Ik heb toen -helemaal in paniek- mijne lomo zelfs op ebay gezet omdak dacht dat em kapotskie was.
Maar gelukkig heb ik in een slimme bui toch nog efkes een mailtje gestuurd naar de menschen in Schweiss (lomo home-base) waarop die antwoordden dat ik m’n filmke er wss niet goed in stak. Misschien is dat bij u ook ‘t geval?
Ik was dat zo gewoon om dat filmke gewoon in de tandjes te leggen en alles voort te spoelen met andere (oudere) toestellen. Dat gaat ook met een LC-A, maar na een tijdje kunnen die tandjes het hele filmke niet meer aan. Wat ik moest doen was het filmpje ‘IN’ het draaiwieltje steken rechts in de lomo. IN dat draaiwieltje zitten ook haakjes - die haakjes zorgen voor de trekkracht, de andere zijn gewoon om het op zijn plaats te houden…

Nice series, especially the first one in the plane. Hope you can go back and make the pictures another time. Bad luck :-( Wish I was in Mexico now, so beautiful to stay there.

Wood carvings and marble floors is a funny mix but the hotel looks very majestic… The reflected lamp was a good idea.
