If you live far from home you get to know your way around in the air (ticket and airline-wise that is). I don’t even know anymore how many planes i have taken in the past 2 years. But one thing i can’t get over is: the more planes you take, the cheaper your trip becomes … ???

CD Baby

Recently i bought a cd on CD Baby, THE online store for independent music. And i must say i love their approach, they certainly know how to treat their clients! I couldn’t help but smiling and feeling good about my purchase while reading the following part of the order confirmation i recieved by email:
Your CD has been gently taken from our CD Baby shelves with sterilized contamination-free gloves and placed onto a satin pillow.
A team of 50 employees inspected your CD and polished it to make sure it was in the best possible condition before mailing.
Our packing specialist from Japan lit a candle and a hush fell over the crowd as he put your CD into the finest gold-lined box that money can buy.
We all had a wonderful celebration afterwards and the whole party marched down the street to the post office where the entire town of Portland waved “Bon Voyage!” to your package, on its way to you, in our private CD Baby jet on this day, Monday, June 30th.
I hope you had a wonderful time shopping at CD Baby. We sure did. Your picture is on our wall as “Customer of the Year.” We’re all exhausted but can’t wait for you to come back to CDBABY.COM!!

So, we’re here. Safe and sound. And i already like it a lot!!! In Tampico i couldn’t go anywhere unnoticed (with a height of 1m72, pale skin and blue eyes, it is obviously impossible for me to hide the fact that i am not mexican), but the people here are used to foreigners. No weird looks or presumptuous staring at all … i feel relieved.
