Mila likes flowers

Since i’m not able to shoot pictures for a while, i thought i might as well catch up on some drawing … before i forget how relaxed drawing and painting makes me feel. Let’s start with a character and see what comes out. This little lady is called ‘Mila’.
A dear friend of mine is going through a rough period and with this i want to give her a flower, for luck!

Cary Brothers - Les Cornelius

I can listen to Cary Brothers’ latest album ‘Who you are’ over and over again. Les Cornelius - who calls himself a dreamer - thought of it as inspiring music too i guess. He made a beautiful handdrawn music video on ‘Skyway’.

If you haven’t heard of Bart van de Vel yet, you better jump to his flickr-page or personal page this instant! He’s amazingly good in portraiture and his other work is definitely worth mentioning too. And talking about a classical example of productivity, well, here’s one! Watch and learn.

I came across Camilla Engman’s work today. She makes truly wonderful paintings, paper cuts and illustrations!
Have a look at her website, or the blog for more recent work. Her work is for sale on the website as well, that would make the perfect gift! (at least, for me :-)
